Things are still going well today. He walked from his room down to the lounge and back under his own power with me this morning, and seems in good spirits.

Apparently the surgeon's PA came by this morning and said we might be able to bring him home as soon as tomorrow if the chest tube cooperates. We still need to confirm with the nurses that that's what's on his chart, but we're hopeful that we'll be able to have a slightly belated family x-mas before I fly out on Friday afternoon.
